About DIET

As recommended by National Education Policy (1986) Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Traninig, Gandhinagar has established District for the development and qualitative improvement in the field of Primary Education. As a part of it,District Institute of Education and Training , patan has established since 1994.

N.C.E.R.T., New Delhi has established a number of Education and Training. Institutes through out the country under the very acknowledgement of it, then has been set up, G.C.E.R.T. (Gujarat Institute of Education and Training) in Gujarat at Ahmedabad. Further, under the very torch bearance of G.C.E.R.T., many district institutes have flourished In the region of Gujarat. And as its of the components, Primary Govt. Education College. For women, Patan [locally known as BUNIYADI STREE ADHYAPAN MANDIR] has been upgraded as DIET. Patan under the resolution No. 1294-1, 4 Feb. 1994 by the Education Department Government of Gujarat.

D.I.E.T. Patan is functioning to bring about the improvement in Primary Education and making various researches on its competency and vigilance in the district. It has flourished as other academic wing of G.C.E.R.T.; Gandhinagar and received infrastructure and monetary aids from G.C.E.R.T.
